Description: Artículo de investigación que tiene por objetivo hacer un análisis espacial para identificar la dinámica regional de la caprinocultura de pequeña escala en Tejupilco, Estado de México
The objective of this research work is to analyze the regional correlation of the production of live goats between the municipalities of the Tejupilco Region to identify the formation of clusters that promote the competitiveness of the goat value chain. Through an exploratory analysis of data for the period 2006-2019, the estimation of the Morán index and the Lisa Test, evidence of spatial dependence between municipalities is provided. The exploratory analysis provided evidence that the geographical condition of Tejupilco and Tlatlaya, as well as the technical productive and economic-commercial aspects, have favored a growing trend in the dynamics of their production, and the positive indices provide elements that indicate that the neighborhood with other municipalities does not affect the formation of a cluster between them, a situation that was corroborated with the LISA test when identifying that the volume of production in these municipalities is statistically significant.
