| dc.description | This study explores the geographic variation, ontogenetic and sexual antipredatory behavior displayed in laboratory for an endemic snake. The experimental design did not show that the behavior was influenced by ontogenetically, sexual or geographical differences, nor by the body condition of snakes. However, body size may affect the antipredatory behavior in a study from a population (Cuitzeo, Michoacán). The study suggests that natural selection by predation is similar in both populations and both sexes, but it is possibly subject to ontogenetic changes in the population of Cuitzeo. | - |
