dc.description	En el presente se abordan los estudios contemporáneos sobre el turismo en América Latina, a través de un recorrido histórico donde se puntualiza que las investigaciones turísticas han sido retomadas de las realizadas por autores europeos y norteamericanos, en su mayoría; centrándose en un sin número de tópicos, con el afán de construir una teoría propia; se concluye estableciendo los nuevos caminos que faltan por explorar y que se están trabajando, incipientemente, en la investigación turística en la América Latina posmoderna.	-
