Description: | Populations of Crocodylus moreletii in Mexico have been recovered satisfactorily in the last two decades, due to the legal protection of the species. It has been currently estimated that in wildlife , the number of individuals increased in numbers that the species look to be susceptible of practices of sustainable use. In this paper we analyzed the basic biological aspects that most know for an adecuated use and manegement of the species, in order to reduce mortality during the incubation period, which usually is very high in natural conditions. En México, las poblaciones de Crocodylus moreletii se han recuperado satisfactoriamente debido a la protección legal de la especie. Actualmente se estimó que, en vida silvestre, aumentaron el número de ejemplares, siendo la especie susceptible al aprovechamiento sustentable.En este trabajo se analiza los eventos biológicos que se deben conocer para un aprovechamiento y manejo adecuado de la especie, reduciendo la mortalidad durante la incubación que en condiciones naturales es muy alta. |
