dc.description.abstract This study aims to analyze the intercultural impact on the identity of four Mexican students and how it is influenced by interactions with different cultures from Japan, Korea, Mexico, United States, Italy, France and Spain. I decided to conduct semi-restrictive interviews with students of English as a second language, these interviews involve a flexible structure that allows for a combination of predetermined questions to cover, but they also have the freedom to explore and delve deeper into specific areas based on the participant’s responses. This interview focused on familiar topics such as hobbies, food, customs, literature, preferences and choice of places to live, we will observe how these aspects can lead to the adoption of new perspectives, new ideas, new traditions and different lifestyles such as values, beliefs, languages, clothing choices, social behaviors, arts. We will see also that while some students may adopt aspects of different cultures, some of them also bring their own cultural background and experiences. Students who focus on Mexican culture, have a deep love and appreciation for their own Mexican culture and they choose to focus primarily on their heritage. For example, they appreciate the flavors and ingredients of Mexican food, they admire and support Mexican arts, poets, writers, filmmakers and painters like Frida Kahlo, Octavio Paz. es
