portions of various products, such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and hygiene products.
In addition, it offers wrapping customization services using graphic flex printing, in this
context, the optimization of inventory management becomes crucial to ensure the efficiency
and profitability of the company.
In the inventory registration area of the company Ensobretados y Derivados S.A. de C.V., a
problem related to the poor organization of planning engineering processes has been identified.
This lack of organization has led to difficulties in the control and administration of the
inventory, which has generated a series of inconveniences and losses for the company.
Therefore, there is a need to implement a new layout in the warehouse with the aim of
improving inventory control and reducing the existing loss.
From the lack of control, different types of delays are generated in the inventory registration
area: there is no knowledge of the ordering of the production area, there is no inventory
registration of the materials required in advance for their production in time, that is, there is no
Material Requirements Plan (MRP), therefore, the delays in the supply of materials are
continuous, and there are not enough resources to carry out the production, as well as order
cancellations, delivery delays, sanctions by customers and Waiting time on shipments.
The management of material, human and technological resources is inefficient, since, in order
to cover deliveries, overtime is made, causing bad relationships with customers, and even
possible contract cancellations.
