dc.description En este proyecto se presenta la degradación de diclofenaco, trimetoprima y 17-α-etinilestradiol y se evidencia la formación de sus productos de degradación, los cuales deben ser contemplados en métodos de eliminación de fármacos. . es
dc.description.abstract The increase in the consumption of medicines has generated that the continuous presence of drugs in the environment has increased. Several studies have reported the appearance of adverse effects in plants and animals; therefore, these types of compounds have been classified as emerging pollutants. There are several proposals that suggest new alternatives for their removal. However, it is necessary to study the way in which they are being degraded to offer more effective removal techniques, since the traditional ones such as chlorination, activated sludge and biofiltration offer a low removal efficiency (20-40%). In this work the kinetic behavior of the photodegradation of DCF, EE2 and TMT and its thermodynamic parameters of the reaction under UV-C light radiation was analyzed. The obtained results indicated that the DCF and the EE2 present a kinetics of first order, which is favored with the increase of the temperature and the TMT follows a kinetics of order 0.5. In addition, it was found that DCF is susceptible to degradation due to UV-C type radiation and TMT showed resistance. In the case of DCF and EE2, the application of UV-C radiation generates the formation of a mixture of by-products, DCF being more stable, since they tend to remain even after the drug has been completely degraded. The above indicates that degradation products are released to the environment, so it is necessary to extend a study on their properties and their possible environmental impact. es
