dc.description The result is that indigenous people continue to be a minority and with less weight in decision-making at the indigenous university. The importance of the study lies in showing how, through the groups of teachers and their capitals, the acculturating colonialist processes continue. es
dc.description.abstract At the Autonomous Indigenous University of Mexico, in more than 20 years of history since its foundation, groups of professors that unite according to their political, academic, labor, economic, religious interests, etc. have been formed. Each group develops processes of identification-differentiation that allows them to include, exclude, grant or remove hierarchies and define individual and group actions. Each group presents a combination of capitals, be it social, political, cultural or academic, the objective is to describe this dynamic that gives a profile to the Institution and that explains what is happening internally. Through a microethnographic study, the groups found are described: the political and intercultural groups, who are the majority, the researchers and the indigenous (Yoreme Mayo), who are the minority and the others who have also exerted influence, the religious, the standardizers and founders. es
